Hot Bread Kitchen
As the Marketing and Communications Manager for Hot Bread Kitchen, I managed and evaluated media opportunities for the growing non-profit, managed on- and off-site events and promotional opportunities, and created social, blog, and newsletter content. A few examples of projects I worked on are below.
Harlem EatUp! Kickoff Event
To kick off the Harlem EatUp! festival featuring local Harlem restaurants, Hot Bread Kitchen hosted a local restaurant challenge event at the Hot Bread Kitchen Incubator kitchen hosted by Chef Marcus Samuelsson. The event was sponsored by Citi and covered by local media.
Local restaurants competed to win a booth at the festival, with additional promotion from Citi. Hot Bread Kitchen was featured in media coverage, as well as on social as competitors shared posts and images from the event.
Pop-Up Shop
While the billboard was running, we hosted a pop-up shop selling Hot Bread Kitchen breads and baked goods in the Morgan Stanley headquarters in Times Square.
Times Square Billboard
In partnership with Morgan Stanley, Hot Bread Kitchen took over a Times Square billboard during Women’s History Month to raise funds and awareness.
Board Member Social Takeovers
To amplify Hot Bread Kitchen’s social presence and drive follower growth, I worked with our board members to coordinate takeovers of our social channels where they shared recipes, behind the scenes footage, and what they loved about working with Hot Bread.
